Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise. The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show. The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December. The show will be aired from seven in the evening GMT. Michelle Agyemang Age: 19 Sport: Football Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory. She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final. These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament. Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe. She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player. Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October. His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion. At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record. "To receive a nomination for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." Davina Perrin Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
