🔗 Share this article The Latest Casual Playlist Sparks Intense Discussions Regarding AI Players, Experience Points, and Queue Times Recently, the game developers introduced a new playlist called Relaxed Breakthrough. In essence, this option mirrors the regular Breakthrough format but includes several key adjustments: Each team includes just eight human participants, with the rest made up of AI-controlled opponents. Activities performed by real players award complete experience points, while AI activities provide lower rewards. Just a pair of locations are available: Cairo Siege and Empire State map. Features like Dogtags, achievements, and stat tracking are disabled. So essentially, the playlist lives up to its name: it offers a laid-back version of Breakthrough. On the surface, you might think there's nothing wrong, as it provides additional choices for gamers seeking alternative ways to enjoy the title. However, if video games have taught us anything, it is that you can't please everyone. In other words, many BF6 players are upset. Community Responses: Anger to Support "Gamers prefer human opponents. Avoid making the errors of your rivals," reads a response to the official announcement. "Absolutely shocking idea," says a different user. Meanwhile, in community forums, one user remarks, "It's unclear where we are headed with this game," and someone else lists all the issues they consider to be broken in Battlefield 6: "Fix bugs, fix drone glitch, correct rocket mechanics, adjust aiming after sprinting, improve hit detection. We do not require this bot mode." However, for every complaint, there are players sharing how much they're liking the new mode. "It's enjoyable to warm up, human participants keep it from being a complete grind but it's quite laid-back," says a forum post. "The community doesn't understand that there are gamers who actually go outside and don't play this game 24/7. Let them strike a balance," adds another. A response on Twitter clarifies that as they're "a battledad with limited time, this is great for me," while another applauds the mode for "not being overcompetitive." Valid Criticisms and Player Input All that said, players have constructive reasons to criticize the new mode. A few folks have pointed out that it will make wait times more extended for different playlists because of the large amount of options in the game already. Similarly, some areas already encounter AI-filled matches in the current modes. It also seems a little backwards that the mode won't start without a required amount of real players, even though it focuses mostly on combat against bots. Lastly, a major complaints is that Battlefield Portal was promised to offer full XP, including AI matches, but that was removed when they attempted to remove bot farms from the system. Thus Casual Breakthrough feels like the community meeting them halfway, according to forum feedback. Another describes this addition as the developers "making a mistake significantly, I experienced so much fun in the initial release, why did they feel the need to adjust it?" Looking Ahead: Will Changes Occur? Should Battlefield Studios has demonstrated something so far with Battlefield 6, it is that they're paying attention and acting on feedback. Tasks that were overly hard got fixed very quickly, just like the specific battle pass objectives. Chances are that, should analytics shows this new playlist isn't performing to their expectations, they won't be shy to change it again.
