The renowned publisher has secured a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the development team at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the upcoming over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as Project Ethos.
Management Shift Follows Mixed Response
Brinkman steps into the role of studio head at 31st Union following the exit of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to the game's underwhelming initial reveal last fall.
Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer informed employees about this strategic move through an official communication, which emphasized that playtesting had indicated the need for a clearer vision.
The president stated that the developers is now refining the project with a refreshed focus, aiming to better meet community desires.
A Pattern of Key Acquisitions
This announcement follows a similar step taken by the publisher in the summer, when they hired an industry veteran from the Diablo team to assist with the beloved franchise development group.
