Passionate supporters of the pop star are urging that a man who breached a fence and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade accompanied by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the following morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further message on Instagram.

A number of fans also questioned guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Numerous of fans had gathered in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a two-film interpretation of the well-known theatrical production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely bond between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, winning a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
