Yet the most frightening kind of fear is often unconnected to an item or a spot, but instead a human being. At times, the most terrifying beast isn't lurking below your sleeping place. It's inside your head.

The Inner Demons of Requiem For A Dream

This is the situation with the director's millennium acclaimed movie Requiem For a Dream, marking its 25th anniversary. Even though a few contend it isn't a scary movie, others insist it certainly qualifies.
